Admissions

Welcome. We are delighted you are considering Centennial Montessori School. Please read our philosophy and policies carefully. We look forward to getting to know you.

Application Process for 2026-2027

We offer in-person and virtual admissions events. We encourage you to attend a tour and information session to best understand our school.

Step 1: Attend an information session & group tour

This is your best way to see our school and ask questions. You'll meet teachers, visit classrooms, and get an introduction to the Montessori method. We offer on-campus and virtual options. Please sign up early as spots fill quickly.

Step 2: Submit application by January 31, 2026

Please use the application to help us get to know you, your child, and your family's philosophy. A non-refundable fee of $150 is required.

Step 3: Submit supporting documents

If your child has attended school previously, we require a teacher evaluation. For children over 5, a records release is also needed. Forms are available below.

Step 4: Parent & child visits

After re-enrollment in February, we may invite some families for a visit. This helps us see your child in a Montessori setting and get to know your family better. We will contact you if we have a likely space for your child.

Step 5: Decision letters

Following the Bay Area Guidelines for Admissions, decision letters are mailed between March 8th and March 15th. Responses are typically due by March 22nd.

Can I get on the waitlist?

All families who complete the application process and are not immediately offered a position are automatically placed in our wait pool. Should a space become available during the school year, we will refer to this pool of applicants to find a suitable match for the opening. We appreciate your understanding and interest in our community.

Tuition and School Calendar

Our school year runs from the fall to early June. Summer break follows from June to August, during which the school runs a summer camp for enrolled children. Summer camp is optional for families and supports children who benefit from consistency in environment and rhythm.
