The Montessori Method
Developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, this method is proven to develop the whole child. It works not to simply transmit knowledge, but to follow the child in their passionate desire to become more than they are.
Montessori children become lifelong learners who are truly excited by every facet of the world. In a Montessori school, the individual is honored and respected. By supporting the child's natural unfolding of self, the teacher assists life itself, thereby promoting peace and the true potential of humanity.

Outdoor Education

We believe the outdoors is an extension of the classroom. Our program provides ample opportunity for children to connect with nature, whether through gardening, observing insects, or simply enjoying unstructured play in the fresh air.
This connection to the natural world fosters a sense of stewardship, respect for living things, and a deeper understanding of biological concepts.
World Language Exposure
At Centennial, we believe that learning a second language develops a child's cognitive potential and fosters respect for cultural differences. We incorporate language into the classroom through natural conversation with teachers who speak the target language (Mandarin or Spanish).
This approach exposes the child to language and culture, forming a basis for comprehension and a deeper connection to the global community.

Community Participation
We believe that peace begins with the individual's connection to their immediate community. We strive to create whole individuals who accept the responsibility for caring for others as a natural part of their lives.
At Centennial, we promote this vision through a mixed-age classrooms, which fosters a true sense of community and provides many opportunities to help.
